Landing Bluff, Monday, 10th December 2001
The blizzard continued much the same today, still 30 knots and poor visibility. This was a good chance to write about twenty cards to meet the ship's departure. Good news today, I got an email from Paul, stating that the LDBF site called successfully and was fully operational bar a few minor tasks. Anya also got news that her seismic program received funding, so celebrations all round. We had a terrific convivial evening in the mess hut, drowning a cask of 1997 Coolabah dry red, and a dry white and eating gourmet chocolates. How tough life is in a blizzard. The blizz started easing by the late evening, at last !!!
