Landing Bluff, Saturday, 15th December 2001

Blizzard continued unabated. It's like Groundhog Day here (Groundhog Bluff), looking forward to get out for a stretch when the weather clears, supposedly tomorrow. Lethargy could be detected at the morning sched from the other parties. I finished Shackleton's "The Heart of the Antarctic" and cooked a rich tomatoey pasta with what meagre rations we could find. The majority of the Rat packs comprise Apple Cobbler, 7 year old chocolate and energy bars, and cup a soups. We sent an email to Davis requesting real food (rice, pasta, meat etc...). Being Saturday we broached two Tall Poppies, a very good red indeed, after Chateau Coolabah (aka. Chundah). Anya and I successfully reconstructed Monty Python's "Philosopher's Song".
